What happens if you spin a spinning top in zero gee, both in atmosphere and vacuam, i've heard things from nothing strange to its impossible to get it to spin properly? Can anyone explain?

In zero gee, it would float in space. If there was atmosphere, it would gradually slow down and stop, but would not wobble as it did so. In vacuum, it would keep spinning for ever.
