Instead of the Forest of Strathyre we have 'Dorchester rain' it rained heavily for most of the day but there was a quarter of hour of incredibly intense rainfall. So that sort of rain burst is known as 'Dorchester rain'

we have booked a holiday, late deal,in a caravan near the New Forest. I wonder if we'll come back with tales of myth and legend, hopefully we will have an eye witness account of seeing a
also wonders is a spa bath as good as a hot tub cc? I don't know what the difference is between a spa bath, hot tub and jacuzzi, do they all have bubbles?

Morning all!
There's a song in there, Dorchester Rain
And are there bubbles?
I never know the difference...regarding the bubbles. What I mean by a hot tub is a jacuzzi, which has bubbles. I seek out bubbles, need the bubbles. I'm a bubbleseeker. Sometimes you get two types of bubbles, gentle jets and big wild bubbles, low tide and high tide I call it.
The gentle jets are powerful though, especially if you stick your feet into them. It's like having a reflexology session, and you wonder why you come out feeling weird, seeing Egyptian hieroglyphs in the waterstains on the wall. (speaking purely for myself )
mmmm caravan holiday near the New Forest sounds amaaaaazing!!
Hmm, so reportage ...
Think I'll change thought bubbles haha ...

See, I like that, mvp, about the washing. A good first sentence, it would draw me in because I could relate to it. You have that writerly way of doing that, even though you think it's boring.
Whereas if the first sentence was ...
'Ah I remember crossing Alaska on foot, took me five years, and sometimes I was so exhausted I would hallucinate strawberry milkshakes'
...I couldn't relate.
Except for the strawberry milkshakes bit. .
OK so here's where you tell me you have in fact crossed Alaska on foot, took you five years.
.
Oh, so that's what reportage is! . I never thought to put it into Wiki. Thanks! Now I might remember everything.... remember what? I don't know.....
Yet .....

When I emerge from Dorchester rain
I want to lie in soothing bubbles,
sip scented tea to ease my pain
and meditate to calm my troubles.
Daydream Journal
Peanut Posted Jun 26, 2013
that sounds lovely
lying in bubbles, soothing away troubles, sipping scented
could do with some of that right now

While sitting around in a summer mope,
Wishing for word from Beresford Tipton(1),
I do not long for scented soap,
And I'd much rather smell some good old Lipton.

You could go on like this with a kind of verse and response pattern for ages.
While sitting around in a summer mope
Waiting to hear if I've won the Lottery,
I can't be bothered with scented soap
I'd rather smash some pottery.

You guys .... I love it.

It's summertime in England,
there's tennis on TV.
With Federer and Rafa out,
I hope there's honey still for tea.
What's happening at Wimbledon? Every time I check in, someone is limping off a court with a bandage on their knee or shoulder. I hope they have hot tubs backstage.
Gripping though. My money's on Djokovic and Serena Williams, but if Murray wins I shall be happy, yet hungry, because I've lost all my money.
I haven't really put on a bet, not a good plan, things are uncertain, too many bandages.
And Glasto is underway! Yay! What a weekend TV fest ahead. By Monday my screen-eyes will be funny. Funnier than usual.

hah, yes, that reads better. Now, how to rhyme 'still stands the church clock at ten to three', with bandaged knee. Sorry Rupert (Brooke), I'm only kidding. Actually, I love that poem, The Old Vicarage, Grantchester. I can't hardly read it for crying, it reminds me of my Dad. Wah. .

a bitter/sweet poem for you then cc, the grief at the absence of your father and the loveliness of the poem

oh, can I just mention that I noticed a while back a stray wurzel 'r' had crept into my spelling of peculiar
I did make an effort to correct it but if I am honest it was an half-arsed one and anyway decided I liked it
this is my perculiar tea, you see, the 'r' distinguishes it from other peculiar teas

Hullo luv!
Ah yes, soooo many poems remind me of my Dad, he was very poetic, an English gentleman.
Not sure if he ever drank our kind of peculiar tea, though. heheh.
Or your very own perculiar tea! . I love it. The finest. A Peanut brew. Extra spice with the extra r, the extra ahhhhhh. heheh.
(drinks a gallon of the strange perculiar)
That's better!
You got the summer mopes? Strange coincidence then that these 'ere poets were writing about the summer mopes.
I'm feeling good right now, quite annoyingly springy, like a ghostly glowing rabbit apparition on holiday in a postcard. Heheh.
Huh? I'm spending too much time with my muse, Light. Ahhhh Light, it keeps turning enigmatic on me through the camera lens. What a charmer. One day I will tempt it to surrender its secrets, but not yet it seems. .

For some reason I have quite a straight laced Victorian family holiday snapshot in mind and there is a ghostly bunny wearing a balloon hat in the backround. If you squint, the ghostly bunny appears to miming 'bunny ears' behind that serious looking chap with the interesting moustache.
Of course, as with many other ghostly presences in a photo it has been put down to a trick of the light

Hey Daydreamers
We didn't see a tonight but we heard The Stones play at Glastonbury
Started off up the Tor, mist rolled in and you couldn't see anything also while I love bongos and shakers and stuff tonight wasn't the night for them. I thought it was a little bit rude really as there was a fair few people up there and no-one was there to listen to the bongos. So we bailed early on
Drove past the festival and took a left up a hill, found a peachy parking spot and a great field so we got out our picnic mat and listened, sometimes clutching onto each other and grinning like loons saying 'omg we are listening to The Rolling Stones'
No badgers but bats and baby bunnies and a cracking night sky

Thank you Elektra, it was you who gave me the idea to go and listen, that was a special experience to share with Hiccup
and cc, I love the extra 'r' and extra ahhhhh, , I'm thinking
'Peanut's Perculiar Tea, with the extra 'r', and extra ahhhhh'
can I use that if I launch my brand?

Hey, I'm glad you could get there. Not that the Stones are my cuppa tea, but it is sort of like visiting dinosaurs without the danger of Jurassic Park. I hope they played something you liked. Sorry no s turned up. But as long as a good time was had be all -that's grand.
