Take care Peanut my love, I hope things get better soon.
heheh out of it all I have a new obsession now, random googlesurfing for h2g2. All I do is add on 'h2g2' to any word or phrase, and I'm well away. I'm getting so bonded with the Edited Guide. I know I know I could read it from the inside, , but this more me. .
Like, I just typed in 'rodent h2g2' and presto! A43520645 The Lemming A Misunderstood Rodent!
I'm very happy.
And ...
Oh, late ... ... back in a bit ....

that's OK luv, I seem to be creating my own. .
I just typed 'the domino effect of science fiction h2g2'
and heavens! a wealth of riches, this is great, I could write stories about it. .
Now I think I'll try 'permanent green can alter your life h2g2'
(few minutes later)
Now check that one! Incredible! All you have to remember to do is add h2g2, otherwise the google listings will stare at you and offer you a ticket home. All these Guide Entries! This way I can merge my almost-poetic vision with searching for Guide Entries, and I can make a new life somewhere south of Zip 7 h2g2. (I must try that one )
I never knew what Bing was , I call it that strange Crosby thing that tries to attract my attention, maybe it will sing White Christmas to me , so it's a search engine?

Tell Pastey the genius I am having a great time, I can deal with technical limitations because my entire life has been a technical limitation. . And I have discovered the Edited Guide via a route more peculiar than eating baked beans at 3 am. I think limitations are creative, one learns to adapt and reshape one's life.
Pastey the Genius! .

I believe that Bing is a product of Microsoft. If you want to compare it to Google go to www.bingiton.com as they are trying to get Google customers to change to their search engine.

Really? . Oh no, I could never leave Google, I'm wed to Google, for better or for worse. I ask it many things. When we first got our computer, the spouse asked Google 'what do we have for supper tonight?'
I just googled 'what do we have for supper tonight h2g2', first entry on the list is 'what should 2legs have for dinner tonight h2g2 a forum', no kidding. .

Oh gracious, that is NOT a good choice for vegetarians! had to unsubscribe to one of his journal entries because reading it was raising my cholesterol levels. Not for the meat adverse for sure.

Sorry I'm so slow, I blame it on 2legs of the above discussion. I am glad we aren't in a RPG anymore, I'm too slow and dull witted.

Elektra, I feel too slow and dull witted most of the time - especially when I need to use GuideML
But also when I arrive at a place and find I've forgotten my glasses. And when I can't finish the quick crossword in The Guardian. (I don't even try the cryptic one). And when I need to write the next bit of my story and realise I don't know what happens next.

Peanut, does that mean you have broccoli in your garden or is there a kitten in your kitchen?
