This is the kind of thing I know I know (or did once). When you're writing a bibliography, is the date you include the date of first publication or the date the edition you're using was published?

The date of the edition you're using (and specify the edition number as well), as information may well change from edition to edition.

Right, thanks. It just seemed weird writing 2006 when the book was written in the 50s sometime, but it does make sense I suppose. Thank you!
