Interesting how Angelvixen dismissed what I said as rubbish without actually reading it very carefully.
But then women are always right, aren't they? Your own response just proves my point - that modern women, whether conciously are not, are driven to exert power over men. I wasn't suggesting for a moment that courtship was a competition, as you seemed to believe....
Apparently "I forget" that some guys can't remain faithful. You obviously missed the paragraph where I describe a group of us as bastards. Or was that too subtle?
Perhaps next time you won't be so quick to belittle any man who dares criticise the fairer sex, and actually address the perfectly valid criticisms I make?

he has a point angel. new scientist did a study and it showed that women are impossible to get on with due to their 'cycles' and that they will go for the 'bastard' due to his aggressive nature being a match for the primal need for a strong protector.
i don't blame women for this, it's in their genes. unfortunately you grew brains and got an idea of what you'd really like which contradicts your animal craving, not my fault, blame evolution. so all this means you are the ones who are confused. man are simple beasts, women complicate them
but you did have a point that not all are the same, man or woman.
but thn you said men are statistically more likely to cheat. will have to check that one as i disagree. as a man, i would never cheat as i have been cheated on and it sucks

Ahem .. i know im certaily not confused..as in the situation that caused me to start this thread..i was the one making sense n who knew what i wanted!
N yes i think i heard somewhere too that men are more likely to cheat. Id never do that anyone for anything.

no reply.....except this:
A recent study at the University of Missouri shows that the type of
facial features that a woman finds attractive can differ, depending upon
where a woman is at in her menstrual cycle.
For example: If a woman is ovulating, she is attracted to men with
rugged and masculine features.
If she is menstruating or menopausal, she is more prone to be
attracted to a man with scissors shoved in his temple and a bat jammed up his ass
while he is on fire.
saw it on the 'Tell Me A Joke' thread. how topical

now thats not true. you could be average looking but still have a great butt only kidding. i think perhaps your anger at one has judged the many
i could quite easily say the same about women!
it's a very empirialistic view as well. it's like seeing one black swan so assuming all swans are black

ahem excuse me zebedee but i aint trying to belittle or undermine any guy that voices their opinions on here as that's what the threads all about
what i was disagreeing with was the way you were classing all women as it's just not true of all of us same as not all guys are ers.
at the end of the day everyone is intitled to their own opinion and i was just exspressing mine.
now i must say that bit about the menstrul cycle cracked me up no end as no matter what part of my cycle i'm at i still don't want to be mis-treated thank you very much
this thread was about trying to understand men and not for us to say which of the sexes is worse as both sexes are capable of doing bad things so i was just saying don't be blaming women for it as it's not just us that do it and nor was i trying to say that all women are right either as this is not about who's right and who's wrong.

Serephina,
In my experience the really nice looking women all turn out to be air-headed b*tches from hell (suppose that should be Cerberus' mate then )And most really good looking men are really barstewards who treat women like a short term parking lot for their penis.
That is not to say that all good looking women are like that.
What I have found is that I had a much better time (and much better sexlife) with women that I could speak to as intellectual equals (I am not saying that I am exceptionally intelligent, but I do occaionally like a bit of witty repartee) and women that I know are not going to be so mean.
Luckily I have found a soul-mate in my Yoda, and have been happily married for 8 years (I have been told )
It all depends on where your meeting these guys. If it izs nightclubs then yeah the guys are sizing your attributes. You never know where you will meet a really nice guy though. So please don't be down on all men just because of some jerks who didn't treat you right.
(Well that was a bit more than I intended to say when I started this post )

I will never, ever understand men and im a barmaid, working in a working man's pub, so I get to hear what you men get up to all the time! And still i cant get me head around you lot But than, think that women can be just as bad, myself included in that!

Zebedee (still Pool God after all these years) Posted May 30, 2003
If this thread isn't about who's right and who's wrong then why is it directed at understanding men? Surely that's placing all the shortcomings squarely in our laps.
It would be nice if just one woman round here could acknowledge the possibility that they are the principle agitators in the battle of the sexes. I don't know if they are or not - I'm just fed up with constantly hearing women moan about men as if they are more entitled to be annoyed with our behaviour then we are with theirs. Talk about arrogance....

I too get fed up with the "all men are bastards" cliche. The answer is of course: "no, all the men that you fancy are bastards".
The guys I know who get the most attention from women are the ones who treat sex like a contact sport, and will just move from one to the next at whim. After them are the guys who do the "trophy girlfriend" thing. The rest of us don't get a look in.
And no, most men aren't only interested in a perfect size 8 with huge breasts. You're confusing us with magazine editors.
And while we're at it its polite to call the day after.

Researcher 228001 Posted May 30, 2003
geeze people chill out!
no one is saying men are purely to blame as that's just not true as each sex has the capacity to be cruel and heartless so you can'nt just say it's all mens fault but neither is it womens so why zebedee did you say that women are the true instigators when it comes to problems?
lets just face it we can'nt understand you men and you men can'nt understand us women so were all fighting a losing battle here
oh p.s...it's not just women who moan about men as men moan about women and all you know.
