Hi there
Western troops are fighting a repressive regime in these countries but there are many other repressive governments in the world so should western countries send troops there?
Some may claim that the issue is oil. If that is the case what evidence or basis is this claim made on?
What are your thoughts?
Regards.
Leroy.

To the first question, No, unless there really is some point to it, history does rahter tend to point to the utter pointlesslness of such intivention....
To the question of Oil, its about the US and I guess UK having contorl of the region like Iraq which is an oil producer, obviously direct control isn't happening per sai (I.E., they're not trying to put a UK/USA run governemnt in control), but its having a government in charge that is pro-US/UK and able to be manipulated by them...
