You'd think considering that all National Express routes north of Birmingham have to use this a stopping off point that NE would have done something to give the place a facelift by now. It's a Biosphere with no style or grace, it's ground has never seen sunlight and everybody there seems to either angry, weird or just mentally 'Out of Order'- It's the first place in the world where I actually met a convention of Coach Spotters; clutching little black notebooks full registration numbers, MOT expiration dates and wheel specifications. Hey! Great hobby Guys! - Get a Life!

I have been running round grouting, grilling beans, copulating, listening to Julian Bream and swearing at manual chokes for years now, without ever having heard of Digbeth (which sounds a lot like Bedford only more obscure). Whatever persuaded your perverse mind that I needed to know about Digbeth and its subnuminous denizens I cannot imagine, but I trust that there will be no repetition of this redundant outgrowth of information.

You obviously haven't got to the completely sad stage of being a spotter yet or had the pleasure of public coach transport.

There's a girl who works at the fag kiosk in Digbeth Coach Station
who is absolutely delightful and, I suspect, sane. She actually smiles
and stuff. Sounds peculiar but it's quite charming once you get used to it.
For those who are curious about such things, 'Digbeth' means 'Dragon's
Breath'. Digbeth is also just about the only part of Birmingham City Centre
that is still a filthy shithole. The rest of town is now just a vile glass-and-
chrome-shopping-mall style shithole.
