What is it with you and this guy? He's not perfect.

I don't want to talk to the monkey, I want to talk to the organ-grinder.

Thats what you say!Nothing like a man in his prime Are you in your prime? Or are you what we used to call a top heavy fraction?
YOU'VE ALL GOT THE Argument Forum WRONG!
The man in the shack Posted Jul 16, 1999
I may or may not be prime, depending on your base. But I can raise myself to the power of any root you care to mention.

The man in the shack Posted Jul 16, 1999
while you're working that one out, i'll algebra.
YOU'VE ALL GOT THE Argument Forum WRONG!
Kinder Surprise Posted Jul 16, 1999
people, people, all this algebraic gibberish has led you helplessly astray from the more important...nay ominous
question of what to do in 5 billion years when the sun takes us all away in a blaze of glory?
For the love of "whomever the reader holds sacred", won't anyone think of the children?...

You don't want to do it like that...
The over-populated, over-rated planet on which we dwell.
Kinder Surprise Posted Jul 16, 1999
Yah, that sounds like a rather nice idea...blow it all up now...
the earth is far over-rated anyway, like many athings in this day and age...say...
Goodyear Blimps...
...irrational numbers
...the square root of 135...boy is everyone talking about that one...
and last but not least...
...pastrami.
The over-populated, over-rated planet on which we dwell.
Kinder Surprise Posted Jul 16, 1999
Oh and another thing...
caecilians are cryptic limbless amphibians that burrow in soft mud in shallow puddles on cave floors...
won't anyone think about them when the earth (whether now or in five biollion years) breaks loose in a cloud of gas (hmmm.that sounds rather crude...oh well, what are you going to do?).
The over-populated, over-rated planet on which we dwell.
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jul 16, 1999
No it isn't.
The over-populated, over-rated planet on which we dwell.
Kinder Surprise Posted Jul 16, 1999
Oh, I think you may want to reconsider...
yes, it is...
I think that it is...
in fact, I postulate that it is, and anyone who stands in my way is in for a great deal of my wrath, and believe you me, that ain't good.

At last we've moved away from a monty python skit and are heading for a real argument.
Who's to say we'll last the next 300 years never mind 5 billion

I quite agree...myself am a fervent proponent of cataclysmic events...they have been documented enough in the past to warrant happening in the future...a good ol' meteor in a couple of thou, hundred mill years maybe, who knows, allow the next best thing to take over the albeit poor ecological niche we are bound to leave them...or it, if it is to become pure energy, for instance
