h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I have been spending the last few weeks watching my boyfriend play the MGS2 demo over and over on his PS2. After playing every game currently on the market for the system, I have come to the conclusion that there are only a few of those games which are actually fun and have really REALLY great graphics.

SSX and Tekken Tag Tournament are awesome. Onimusha was great(but Oni sucked-the graphics were horrible and the control scheme hard to get used to.) Zone of the Enders (Z.O.E.) which had Metal Gear packaged with it, is probably one of the few mech-style games I like. Final Fantasy X looks like it will be great too. Check out the video from TGS on [URL removed by moderator]But Metal Gear!!!! Now THAT is a game that I can even play - on easy mode, but hell, I can play it! The graphics and storyline are amazing. You can do everything in this game (even a couple "guy things" that I like to avoid.) If you hold up the soldiers they will give you stuff like rations or band-aids.

I checked the Konami website and was amazed to see that some other female had beaten the game in very hard mode in 2min 18sec! I can only hope that by the time MGS10 comes out that I'm that good. I put my name in to be put on a dogtag too. That would be so cool!

The "guy things" you mention are the pictures of women in the lockers ,aren't they? Oh and there isn't going to be a MGS10, MGS2 is the final one in a series of four which started with Metal Gear on the MSX system. The only problem i have with MGS2 is that it won't work on my PS2 because of a fault which is really annoying .

A friend of mine had his drive door motor quit on him & they fixed it for him.

I know there won't be an MGS10, but games like those are hard for me to get accustomed to. I'm more of an RPG person, I even suck at platformers =P

Yeah, I'm going to get it sent back to sony its just that i haven't got round to it. If you're into RPGs then the game to wait for would probably be Final Fantasy XI, It's completely online apparently like Phantasy Star Online, Only alot better.

Yes, yes it is. Every other game I've played for the system so far, has A) Had a bad controle fig., B) Was a racing game (I hate racing games!) or C) Been down right dispionting(I'm looking at you Oni!). So yes, MGS2 is really the systems only hope, lets a prey it pulls through!

Well, umm, yes, err. Not every game is bad for most of them you can set up different controller configurations, if you hate racing games, why are you playing them and as for Oni, a mate of mine hired it out and reckons that the first three or so levels are easy then it just gets ridiculously hard and the only colour in the game appears to be grey. As for the mate is was talking about the only reason he brought his PS2 was because of MGS2.

Well, I don't own a PS2, and so far, it hasn't held up very well to its claims. When the system came out, there was a massive shortage of them, at least were I'm from, and still only about 5 people in the town own one out of a population of close to 30,000 people, because stores are having one heck of a time getting them. If you come out with a system of such power, as the PS2, you should have good games to back it up with as soon as it came out to keep people interested, so if you are wondering what I'm getting at, my answer is still 'yes', MGS is still primarily the only reason to by the PS2 (then again, 'Grand Theft Auto 3' is coming out soon...).

Where have you been!?, Huh. Metal Gear Solid is a tactical espionage action game, basically you use stealth to infiltrated a enemy base and find out info about Metal Gear. PS2 is the short hand for Playstation 2, a Playstation 2 is a computer games console which in my opinion is extremely cool. So does that answer your qusetions?
