I must say that it is all quite thrilling.

The gentlemen yes, the goons in the straight jackets no. Utterly ludicrous. But otherwise everything is cool.

I'm sorry., I don't follow? what series is that? I feel so far out of the Buffy loop. Nobody I know ( and I don't really know that many to begin with) recognizes the brilliance of Buffy.

I would... Josh Whedon is brilliant and all the actors are emmencely taltented...
So please... let's get the Buffy chat rooling again
(btw. I just got Tony Heads new CD and it's very, very good... That man can really sing, talk about talent... But then again, maybe I'm not the most objective one, since I love Giles so much )

The series with Dawn would be the one with Glory, would it? That would make it series five. In Oz we've just started on series six.

Just so we're all o n the same page...Buffy is currently sleeping with Spike and Giles is gone--which is very unfortunate. Giles was way too important to the show (not to mention the desperately needed father figure to Buffy), to be let go. Did anyone else think the musical was the best hour of TV in a long, long time?

Yes, yes, Once More With Feeling was pure genius... I know all the songs by heart by now, I've heard them so many times
And I agree about Giles... But Tony Head needed to leave because of personal reasons, and you have to respect that sort of thing... But that doesn't mean I don't miss him

The aforementioned "Once More w/ Feeling"--Buffy's final battle w/ Glory (End of season 5?). Personally, I hated the idea of Spike and Buffy at first, but the episode where Spike takes a vicious beating @ the hands of Glory to keep Buffy's secret was especially touching...

spike is the bomb no one else has anything on him
sure angels cute and xanders funny
rileys just down right boring but spike has all
of the good bits and none of the bad
with just a little bit of naughty thrown in
to make things interesting.
and i can never pass up a british accent

The problem is: I've seen every single Buffy episode four or five times. I need fresh Buffy. But yes, to respond to your observation, Spike is, as you put it, "the bomb". Joss Weaton is a fabulous writer. Television rarely borders on such "brilliance". Spike walks that fine line between hero/scoundral.

I really liked Spike when he first showed up, but since he got the chip he's sucked.

I liked him when he was a bad boy. Now he's just lame and seems to be an attempt at comic relief. I admit a couple of occasions have been amusing, but I simply don't like the character now. Mainly, I think, because it doesn't suit him as much.
