i love my new house,all that peace and quiet is lovely!just finished decorating my kitchen and living room,it looks cool!
just had a big sunday dinner and i think my bellys gonna burst!

I am glad everything is getting settled nicely.
We are getting settled a bit slower than you. I haven't started the painting yet, and the animals are a real blast.
The donkey (Monty) has a talent for standing with his face against the living room window, making silly little donkey faces that say... "Come outside and pet me". He also knocks on the back door and demands carrots.
The piglets are getting used to us humans. They will let me pet them sometimes, when I feed them. The big pigs are amazing to watch when they eat. When someone uses the phrase "eats like a pig", they might not have the full idea of what eating like a pig really is. The pigs squeal, bite each other, push each other out of the way, and make the most disgusting noises you could ever imagine. But they sure are funny!
We slaughtered a sheep yesterday, with the landlord. It was a good learning experience for the kids. They should have a new respect for their food, now. The dogs and cats had a real feast on the discarded parts. The lungs deflated at a weird time, and scared the cat silly. He thought it was still living, and jumped straight up in the air about 4 feet. (Ha ha)
We had no water for two days, as the hot water heater blew out. The landlord and I spent until almost 1 am the other night installing a new one, only to find that there was one little part missing. So, he came back at 8:30 the next morning to finish the job. Nobody went to school that day, and I had the flu. What a time to be without water!

It was great to hear from both of you. I'm glad you liked the tale of the frightened That poor was a refugee from the forest fires we lived through during the summer. A farmer's barn burned to the ground, and one of his s had kittens at the wrong time. We found this one wandering at the side of the road, when we were allowed back - two weeks after the fires started. We thought Pepper was so pathetic, as "her" ribs were visible, and "she" was very disoriented. Not very old, either. (Only two weeks).
Anyway, we fed "her" with a baby bottle, left over from my grandson, and warm oatmeal as an extra treat. "She" was a bit brain-damaged from smoke inhalation, and tended to get lost inside the house.
Well, last week, we found some extra parts we didn't know Pepper had!
It turns out "she" is a HE!
Well, when Pepper tried to fly away from the "live" sheep (without hide), it reminded me of how vulnerable he was when we first got him.
Actually, Monty let out a huge "hee-haw" just after that. So I imagine he really was laughing.
Can't stay on too long. We are having a family video night, and the kids want me to wuit playing around soon.
