Dr Anthea - ah who needs to learn things... just google it!

smiley - monster has had three separate days of sickness over the past week and a bit,
each time is separated by about two or three days, only occurs in the morning (about 1 am if that counts as morning)
and the rest of the day he is generally well, energetic and hungry. I think it's a virus that is going around however I wouldn't expect this pattern of illness I am not a doctor and as long as he is mostly well I am not too worried

now my mother in law has sent round certain foods she thinks will help... probiotics

and here is the horrible truth,
I do not believe in the benefits of probiotics
nor of anti-oxydents
nor anything else in that vein
or good bacteria

surely probiotics would help all bacteria
surely good bacteria in drinks and such is usually dead smiley - erm
and as for anti oxydents... well lets not get started

*deep breath*

sometimes I just need somewhere to vent
appoliogies to anyone who does believe in these things,
you are entitled to your views but I don't share them

I eat fruit because I like the taste of fruit not because of phantom particles of goodness lying in wait to battle phantom bad guys in the flora of my gut smiley - silly
and i do not need yoghurt to poo smiley - winkeye

Peanut

It is not that unusual for children to vomit for no apparent reason
One of my nephews does, my sister got him checked out for reassurance and to make sure there was nothing underlying
There wasn't but annoyingly despite having no other symtoms of viral infection everytime he vommed the school insisted he stay away for two days

Hi Anthea,

This reminds me of something that VC had as a child.

The doctor advised that we stop giving her any dairy products for 7 days, including milk in tea etc.

Seems there is a bug that can live in the stomach which thrives on dairy products. The results are almost instant.
