Dr Anthea - ah who needs to learn things... just google it!

Well lets see,
holidays are all very well when you think about it but they do have the inconvenience of going into real life.
Real life is scary… It’s full of choices and decisions and lots of scary things.
For example: Khamsin and I went to see his new baby cousin, a cute little girl and we all know (or most of us) how small and fragile a baby is when its really small so I was kinda afraid to hold her and after Khas passing her to me I was in complete awe at what a tiny, cute, adorable little girl it was.
Although trying to explain this to Khamsin ended up with him calling me broody.
I am not broody. I don’t want kids at the current moment in time. I will only be 18 in a few months. Collage, university, etc currently comes before a family thanks all the same. I believe I was also accused of “wanting to frolic in the fields.”

Now Khamsin assures me that he is not the typical male with the one track mind… but I am starting to wonder…

Anyway. After a holiday full of sitting watching movies, sharing ice-cream, boat rides, a night at a restaurant, candy floss, and even a trip to a church, (which even though I am not a religious person turned out to be a lot more enjoyable with friendlier people than I had expected… the question is what did I expect?) it is regrettably time for me to come home. (I would stay if I could)

I am not home yet and won’t be until Tuesday. So I am going to enjoy what little is left of my time here with Khamsin because I want some good memories to take home with me. I have loved my time in England but I think that’s more to do with the company I kept rather than the fact that so far it has rained nearly all day smiley - winkeye

Although I will miss being in real life I think it is definitely somewhere you should only go to for a holiday. Real life is fun, but its not for living in smiley - nahnah

Sounds like you've been having fun Anth

A bit of advice from a mum, live your life first, I had Alex when I was 26 (give or take a few weeks) now by today's standards that is ancient but I did everything I wanted to before I had a family, there are a few more things I want to do, if Alex doesn't want to join me then I'll wait 'till she's older, but definatly do what you want to first, how many of you school mates have kids already or plan to in the next couple of years

none of my friends have kids that i know of,
I defenetly want to know where i stand before i ever consider that path.
currently i am going though what i would like to call "teenager in aquard and ever so slightly serious relationship" stage
meaning although my relationship with khas is enjoyable and i love him dearly i dont know where i stand and untill i do then nothing else can be done,
also working on the catholic based (or so i think) tradition of being good (er,... you know what i mean) untill your settled down with a guy theres nothing happening any time soon,

ah if only life were more simple

Anth, You're too young to be worrying about this now, enjoy what you have and worry about tomorrow, tomorrow

Yeah, believe me- life with kids when you're that young is a bear. Especially when they reach the 2-3 year old age. Especially if you have two.

Especially if they both have very strong lungs.

Only if you keep with it, they have very short memories and have to be reminded often of their lessons

Secretly Not Here Any More

Tsk. You cannot domesticate modern man. Lager Sapiens is immune to all forms of logical argument, and only responds to violence and bribery.

Damn. Now our secret is out....

That is what the newspaper's for

Why is it drunk males insist on singing along to Oasis, my neighbour was doing it last night, if Liam Gallhager had a grave he'd be turning in it

Secretly Not Here Any More

I dunno, obviously it's in my genes, and that of my compadres. Get a room full of drunk Mancs and play Oasis or the Stone Roses and you're guaranteed some sort of impromptu kareoke. I think it's tuned to the harmonics of the Mancunian brain.

If you want proof, request 'I am the Ressurection' in any of Manchester's Indie clubs. There's a two second gap between the end of the song proper and the start of the instrumental which is, without fail, filled by every single person in the place (bouncers and bar staff included) shouting 'STONE F*CKING ROSES!' at the tops of their voices.

It must be scary to people who don't expect it.
