I have a Scoliosis of the spine so just about anything will give me back ache including sleeping...

Have you tried one of those body forming matresses? I've got Bertolotti syndrome and a wobbly l4 or l3, I forget which, and I found sleeping on a bodyforming matress much more comfortable than anything else I'd ever slept on.

There not that expensive depending on where you go - my great nans got one and for all her complaining she swears by her matress. She's even got one for her chair now (shes 92 and fairly frail) to help.

If I remember rightly, we got part of the cash from the hospital. Now if shes 92 and (I'll be honest, not long for this world - she'll get no more then 5 years use out of it) and we got some of the cash from the hospital, and Joe's going to be living a lot longer and get more use of the thing I'm sure they'll put more too.

In fact, I'm surprised your doctor/specialist hasnt suggested it.

well it could be because they generally dont unless they really have to
oh and that we didnt really have a great doctor when we found out,
he's been to a chiropractor and such but that was a little on the pricy side too, not to mention he's moved to Australia.....
