Hi. Is there a way of updating an entry someone hasn't done for a while (a year or more), as well as not signing in for that period.

Sorry it took so long to reply but this never showed up on my conversation list.
The first thing to do is post a "Do you mind if I update your piece" to the original author, sometimes they surprise you by replying and it's good manners too. Then, in the address bar of the page you want to update, delete the A from the EG page number with test, that should bring up the text of the piece including all the GuideML, copy and paste it into a new page and go from there, when it's finished submit it to the Update Forum. I added Updated to the subject line of the new page when I updated a piece on Stargate SG-1 Have a look at what I did here F149889?thread=2369936&show=20&skip=0#p27257028 the first post contains a link to both pieces.
Hope this helps

Ok, I've done what you told me and I've put it in the notepad on the computer. I'll put it in as a new entry when I have time, in the week ahead.

Another problem, the author Researcher 201068 who has written something on Spalding, Lincolnshire A808733. But unfortunately, I'm unable to post a message in the personal space.
I'am planning on updating the entry.

It could be that that resercher is not part of h2g2 the could be another part of the dna collective, you'll have to ask an Italic, Jimster or Natalie
