Well, it's based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, but it has campuses (campi?) all over the place - Malaysia, South Africa, and about 40 more coming to a city near you...

Oh, did I mention I was reading that? Just finished it last week... great book! Rather confusing though... unfortunately it was a friends copy, so I had to give it back - I really want to read it again, get it worked out! I'll have to find a copy of my own... where're you up to?

So how's it going now? smiley - smiley

Ah... just recently "Candide" by Voltaire, "The Wind-up Bird Chronicle" by Haruki Murakami and a short story called "1986" by a Chinese avant-garde writer named Yu Hua. I'm still making my way through the Murakami...

Got a bit further: not much time as I'm juggling two jobs at the moment...

They both sound cool though smiley - ok

The Murakami's very odd... quite interesting for the first half, then you sit there wondering what the hell's going on, but the ending, I thought, brought everything together quite nicely - you just have to be willing to get there smiley - winkeye

smiley - biggrin SOunds cool!

I'm over halfway through Roy's...but I don't want to read any further, because I know that the Terror's in the next chapter! It's a very immersive book.

Sal Paradise

The terror?

I've read Andre Gide's 'The Counterfeiters' in the meantime... very dark, nihilistic book! Every character has a different a more demeaning view of every other character than the previous, every coincidence always turns out for the worst... really makes you glad to be alive it does! smiley - winkeye

Oh, and Merry Christmas! smiley - smiley
