Raindawn - Keeper of Bookshelves that Defy the Laws of Physics

Hello smiley - jester,

I love Monty Python movies, songs, and sketches, and I also enjoy the show "Keeping Up Appearances." I adore Terry Pratchett's novels and of course, anything and everything written by Douglas Adams, (but that's kind of a given smiley - winkeye ). I take it your into Brit comedy, too?

Cheers! smiley - ok

Hi smiley - jester,

I'll have to track those down and watch them sometime. I read A397578 and it sounds like the films are the type of thing I'd enjoy. smiley - smiley Living in Wisconsin, I usually only get to watch British comedy via video tapes or the Public Television Station. Are you from England?

Cheers smiley - ok

Ooh, Cuba. Neat! smiley - smiley

I've never been there, but I have been to the Caribbean. I spent a couple weeks in a small town in the Yucatan Penninsula of Mexico a few years ago. It's beautiful down there. Your descriptions in your entry really capture that smiley - smiley

My travels inspired my latest entry, too. If you go to A839108 you can check out my entry about Spanish Gypsies, which is pending front page publication...

WooHoo! My gypsy article made the front page! I guess something good came of having been cursed by that gypsy in the park 3 years ago afterall smiley - winkeye

I'm not entirely sure what my next article is going to be about yet. I've been sort of working on one about the ethnic Walloon Belgian settlement in NE Wisconsin, USA, which is where I'm from.

Hopefully, I'll be inspired to write some more of it soon. It's fun to submit things to peer review smiley - smiley

Ah, how I miss the Caribbean! I've never been to Jamaica, but when I was in college I stayed in Progresso, Mexico, in the Yucatan Penninsula for a while smiley - smiley

I, too, have another entry in Peer Review: A865271
I decided to write about my Walloon Belgian heritage this time.

Have recently heard that the British situation comedy Last Of The Summer Wine is pretty popular in America at the moment. Are you able to get the programme where you live,Raindawn and if so,what do you think of it?

Aww, I don't think that one is broadcasted where I am. I'll have to keep an eye out for it during the BBC America broadcasts on public television though. The two that I like the best that I can see regularly on TV here are "Keeping Up Appearances" and "Are You Being Served?" smiley - biggrin

I believe that "Last Of The Summer Wine" has been broadcast on the public television channel.Must admit I liked "Keeping Up Appearances" and "Are You Being Served?" as well when they were screened here in England.Shows you have good taste.
