A Song For Australian Weather
In January the sun is hot, its shining every day, come what may.
February is slightly wet, is it cloudy? not bloody yet.
March is welcome with frost and damp, still bloody 31 and balmy again
April has the autumn leaves to fall, has the fog lifted? not yet
May is has the autumn showers, storms, and hail and rain
June is cold and damp
July has showers but no decent rain, suddenly the drought has started again
August has snow every 2nd week
September is a nice change, back to 31 yet again
October is welcome with sweet spring showers, on for days and days
November hasn't got any day that not nice, its time again to remember that asphalt has a liquid state
December is hot, stormy and red, is that bush fire over? no not yet.
And then its bloody January again

Well, rotate the months about six months and I'll say, 'Welcome to Georgia!'

March, June, and September sound about right for upstate NY if you just read the temp as Fahreinheit instead of Celsius.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, was Darakat's "Sonata Number HONK!" for goose and harpsichord.

Rats, you mean you don't fly south for the winter? (is it north in the southern hemisphere) (or do they migrate during the summer months?)

Mr. Carrot Posted Mar 3, 2004
I hate geese, particularly because they don't migrate... At least the horrid ones the people down at the local farm keep don't... Tell me, just how does one "play" a goose? Is it something like the monty python sketch with the white mice?

Hmm, I know how to play "Duck, Duck, Goose" but I don't think that's the same thing at all.

Tacysa Posted Mar 3, 2004
you can bury the goose and grease its neck up and drive by and try pulling it up...

Chad H Posted Mar 4, 2004
Darakat has done it again...
FYI - Migratory birds here down south would go north for our winter, else they wouldnt appear in your summer....

1. Geese fly north here, and they go past the Himalayas.
2. Planting ducks is not fruitful unless you plan to use it as fertilizer.

Sure it is, how else would you get a bunch of baby ducks? Aren't they the fruit of the duck trees?

Maby in the US but here they are produced in a Gnome of Zurich Duck factory, why you ask? because they have bills!

For all of you who think money grows on trees, why not ducks? I mean, Darakat did so helpfully point out that they both have bills so it's a perfect fit.
