My cataloger brought some peanut butter fudge to work. Tastes wonderful. Thing is, it is extremely easy to make.
Ingredients:
1 small (15-16 oz) jar peanut butter
1 can of ready to spread vanilla frosting
Dump both into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute on high. Remove and stir until blended. Pour into a 9"square dish or pan that has been lined with aluminum foil. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Remove from dish, turn upside down and peel off the foil. Cut into small squares. It is very rich, so a small piece is enough.

Be even better with Chocolate frosting, I bet.

I tried it with the sugar free chocolate because Tom is diabetic. It was too sticky, but that could have been because it was SF rather than regular. Tasted fine, though.

I've never tasted candy made with gin. Rum, bourbon and brandy, yes.

If you have a recipe that calls for whole allspice you could substitute juniper berries instead. Voila, gin! (ish)

I happen to like gin better than most 'spirits'. But I wouldn't have thought about using it in cooking for some reason.

And I just realized where that phrase came from - an old Danish beer commercial *hides in case Pierce drops by*

I think that you'll find that not only I, but also a drink connaiseur like Pastey will agree with that last statement *sips*

oh. my. BoB. G&T shower gel. Oh. Oh. Oh. and. oh. oh.
Hmmm.... the recipie though, needs more chocolate, more brandy (or conyac), and probably needs more cowbell... and more chocolate... mmmm What is it with the cold weather this time of year?: I start craving obvious things, stews, soups, casseroles, hotpot, all that 'homely', and 'childhood', food, sausage egg and chips, cottage pies, etc... and... for some strange reasons, sweet things... cakes in particular, but sticky sweet ones, not sponge nice light ones... mincemeat slices, cherry bakewells, spotted dick, custard, mince pies, hot with icecream or double cream... ; all stuff I don't eat normally ever (and I've had a cherry bakewell and a custard tart so far today...) hmmamm..... G&T... I shall have to reaquaint myself with this long lost, sorely and sadly forgotten friend

G & T is ok but Gin and rough cider is the drink of gods I know as I'm a rev and has gods ear hole, and a strange side effect is you will never go bald, even if you are a woman

Hey! I never said I wouldn't try it... I'll try anything once... or twice, and sometimes, if its a really dumb thing to do, I'll try it three times, to make sure... <biggrin I imagine we'll have the necessary ingredients in the house over Christmas

I nearly gag trying to drink cider. Can't stomach it, with or without gin.
