Such minimalism is rather outdated now. Try adding a few more blank lines. smiley - smiley

As noted this was an initial attempt. I was going to try to track down the text after it disappeared - but I like Bels' perspective. Less is more.

OK, some massive organization is in order.

I love how much work yo've put in to this piece. It's clever and straight forward. But let's do some work:
You need to break up the space.

A few ideas:
Actors
Section 1) Fathers and Sons, in alphabetical order
Section 2) Fathers and Daughters, also ABC
Section 3) Mothers and children (there seem to be fewer of these)
Sectioni 4) Wow! both your mom AND dad were famous!
Section 5) Famous Sibs

Other Hollywood notables (non-actor parents/children)

I think that putting this piece in ABC order will give it some nice order. The long and short entries will be mixed up then and it will be easier to add in others as you run acros them.

To create a new category use the HEADER tag.
This will create a HEADER
To create a SUBHEADER:
This will create a SUBHEADER

Also, try to use Unordered Lists moresmiley - sadfacecut and paste the below to see and example.

PEOPLE in a family:
DAD
MOM
Kids

This will give you some nice bullets for longer entries.

Just some ideas.

Hi, I'm glad you found the text. smiley - winkeye

It's a very good entry, and I don't have much to say about it, apart from a couple of minor points.

The point about spacing and layout has already been made, and I agree.

I'm afraid the tags will have to go. They are not house style used in that way. Once you've removed them you'll notice some spacing problems which have crept in, typically where you at present have things like . If you take out the tags we can help with layout if you need help.

Check all the spellings. Eg Tony Curtiss and other erroneous doubled letters.

And finally, the title. Hollywood?

Also, try to look up as many of these people as you can. . .perhaps there are links to them on h2g2 already. Also, make a link to the internet movie database. that's a greta source for all things movie.

Let me know if you need more help!

Really appreciate all the feedback - very nice welcome. To some of the points made:

I'll revisit the structure as suggested.

The work-in-progress element reflects the fact that I need to provide some movie references or brief bios for everyone mentioned.

I need to learn how to do the linking thing - will work on that this weekend if my home internet connection has been restored!

To remove the B tags I would copy the entire article into Word and use Replace to eliminate them. Is there a better way for bulk changes?

Again - thanks for the help and feedback.

Yep, Word should be fine.

Not everyone here is clairvoyant, so always post to report progress, ok? smiley - smiley

To make links to h2g2 stuff:
This is the hyperscored part
to make www links:
This is underlined

cool?

Friar
ps. ignore the underlined stuff inside the brackets, obviously
