I think it's very good!
I'd suggest losing the first header, as the Writing-Guidelines advise against having one directly after the title (apparently it looks a bit funny in some skins) and I reckon the tone of the first paragraph carries it anyway.
I spotted one typo in passing (jersy > jersey) and I think you've got a full stop missing off the end of one of the paragraphs.

Hey, I was just curious, but how do you get those icon things to appear in your messages? I tried just copying the little command things on the page full of those faces and it didn't seem to work. Sorry for being so vague too but I don't think I can explain myself any better.

Well, if you're using the Brunel skin, you should find a selection of them underneath the text box you use to write your postings - clicking on the one you want to include will insert it into the post.
Many of them have a long form and a short form. If, for instance you want to include , you can do it in two ways. The short form is to type ':' followed by '-' and finally a 'D', whilst the long form is to type the word 'biggrin' and put it between angled brackets < >. Similarly, Changing the 'D' to a 'P' or typing 'toungeout' between the brackets will give you

As a former XC runner myself for many runners I'm delighted to see this in peer review. One thing you could add is the diversity of courses from actually across farmers fields to meandering through forests, to well kept public or private parkland. All of which I have run on at times and all of which have their own quirks.
Trying to run across ploughed fields so as not to cause injury.
Running fast on the approach to a narrow woodland path so as to slow up and block runners behind you and potentially team mates. etc

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
