A Conversation for Stubbing Your Toe

Desert

A wonderful entry but slightly incorrect.

Being someone who lived in the Gulf for a number of years, and hence, being in close proximity of a desert, managed to on occasion stub my toe. Not all deserts are sandy. And there are other things you can still stub your toe on such as rocks, odd dead looking bushes, goats, bedouin tent poles, camels, toyota land cruisers, etc, etc.

And don't forget the cacti! A nicely embedded cactus needle takes stubbing your toe to a whole new level.

and what about dead bodies, according to the movies the desert is littered with them........

The other problem with this advice is the probability that large numbers of toe stubbers will now be persuaded to migrate to deserts and they will thereafter adapt their new surroundings until the density of toe hazards equals that already apparent in other parts of the planet.

This could be part of a cunning plan to reduce population densities elsewhere. We can but hope.

Maybe I should have said which desert.... Just as long as there is nothin' but sand dunes, that's where you should move.

Yes, it's an especially recommended solution for those h2g2 members who don't need water to survive. smiley - winkeye

Don't worry, MikeGuy. We're just teasing. It's hard to read such a good entry without falling to the temptation to get a bit silly.

Yeah, sand is often the easiest place to stub one's toe, as it's hard to see any hard objects hiding just under the surface of the sand.
