So who's going to win then?

Here's a new idea for you all to chew on. In a side-issue (ie no points in the main league for it), I'll be running a who's-going-to-win-things prediction league. DEADLINE FOR ENTRY-END OF AUGUST (hence no charity shield)

So, five points each for:
1) English Premiership Champions
2) Scottish Premier Legue Champions
3) Champions League Winners
4) UEFA Cup Winners
5) FA Cup Winners
6) Scottish FA Cup Winners
7) Worthington Cup Winners
8) English Division One Champions
9) Italian Serie A Champions
10) Spanish Priemera Liga Champions and
11) German Bundesliga Champions

So, deadline end of August people. Good luck.

Summer!

I've been addicted to the bloody game since September. Might have got a better degree if it wasn't for my efforts to take Scunthorpe into the Premier League by 2010.

In fact, come to think of it - that's probably why you haven't got any other entries yet. Everyone's quickly running a season of ChampMan to see what that predicts - it's much more accurate that Mark Lawrenson.

Is that the current season one you're playing? I bought that when it came out and me and my flatmate used to stay up til 4am playing it (I'm at university- nothing better to do!)

My greatest triumph so far was to win the 2007 Premier League and UEFA Cup with a Wigan Athletic team feturing Figo and Rivaldo.

It's just occurred to me that I really ought to clarify my guess of 'Real,' seeing as the Primera Liga has three teams of that name. I did of course, mean 'Real Madrid'

Skatman: Millwall, eh? Three games, no goals...good luck!

For the benefit of the uninformed, I believe everyone's favourite floor-cleaning team (Ajax, that is), are in the process of qualifying for the UEFA cup.

Everton to do the cup double, eh? You've got to hand it to the native Scouse wit...

Note GreyDesk's cunning in waiting until _after_ the closing date before submissions.smiley - tongueout

Note equal stupidity in believing Chelsea or the Blades will win anything.

Great quote from Danny Baker in the Times, called Chelsea the 'perennial exploding clown's car of the Premiership'

Now look here, I don't think that any of the potential winners would have become any clearer in the 22 hours that I was over the deadline. (Except of course the SheffU for champions result smiley - grr)

Anyway my excuse is that I was away for the weekend with the new gf, so was otherwise occupied, as it were smiley - winkeye
