Nothing wrong with those (but I've never tried the DFMB), but the worst things on the British menu are where we try to recreate foreign cuisine - order the curry option in Little Chef and you'll know what I mean.

Is it worse than the mass-production Christmas dinners at big hotels? You know, reconstituted turkey slices, uncrispy roast potatoes, soggy, mushy sprouts, bitter overcooked carrots, thick gravy made from granules... that's the most awfully overcharged bad food I can think of just now.
Haggis is great. Served with simple mashed potato and slightly sweet 'neeps. Lovely.

Surely the entire Little Chef chain should be avoided at all costs? I'd rather have a british rail sandwich.

They should stick to the fried breakfasts, which are adequate (if pricy). Alex Ashman wrote this entry on them A13199763 - I remember asking him to tone it down a bit in Peer Review

I was given Brains fagotts the other day by someone - they have descended into a mushy mass of mainly mass produced breadcrumbs
Home made or ones direct from a decent butchers are much much betterer!!

That's brilliant, thanks. I'll try that one day. (Maybe not every day, or I'll end up looking like Anthony W-T!)
