Woodpigeon, since you suggested my entry for Peer Review a few months ago, would you mind taking a look at it now? I think I've made most of the changes we suggested then.
And I thought a few of the others might take a look, since it's broadly environmental.
Thanks!

Looks okay to me!
The sentence "Its bark when mature is scaly." looks somewhat out of place - either remove the or move the sentence into the next paragraph.
Chestnut trivia:
In Germany, chestnut trees were preferred over others to be planted over beer cellars. Their huge green top created enough shadow to help keep the beer fresh, and people soon found out they could comfortably sit under them and drink the . Thus, beer gardens were invented.

Great story! Were these horse chestnuts, sweet chestnuts, or a mix?
The is now gone. See what you think. I figure it works best in the general paragraph, since it's true year-round.

Hi Nora,
Definitely, it should go into Peer Review when you get the chance. I'll be happy to mention it on the LE page. You might look around the internet for some additional historical/cultural factoids, but otherwise, it's good, and to the point! I will try to add more comments if you get it into Peer Review.

Give her a chance! She seems to be away at the moment, but I think when the college term starts up she'll be back.
