When Homer Simpson went to his local Japanese Restaurant to try some Fugu, it was pointed out by the waiter that there was a map on the back of every menu showing the route to the nearest hospital.

If I remember, the doctor got all the symptoms wrong, although they were much funnier.

Great memory! One of my favourite episodes. If I'm not mistaken, didn't Homer have symptoms of food poisoning, not puffer fish poisoning?

He didn't have symptoms of anything in particular, but he had eaten the deadly puffer fish.
It was actually quite a moving episode, and had the 3 rules for living, the best one of which is 'it was like that when I got here', which I have based my life upon.

A great episode! It didn't really make much sense to me though, that Homer didn't want to try new food at first...that's seems a bit out of character for him..."fugu me!" is my favorite line from that episode. A classic.

The thing with the menu reminds me of something. A hotel I was staying at advertised that it was close to all the best hospitals in town. Somehow that seemed more worrying than calming to me.

The hotel I was in was in Amsterdam. They don't serve that many poisonus fish here.

Naughty....cod are fast becoming endangered due to over fishing, try hoki or line caught cod as an alternative!
