Apparently, there are two male voltures in the Jerusalem Zoo that formed a very nice couple. Since as part of the breeding programme for voltures - to return them to their natural habitats - eggs are taken from couples in zoos and incubated (because then the female lays another egg... 2 baby voltures for the price of one!), there were a couple of times when they were given to the gay couple instead.
Apparently, they take very good care of them.


When Dan and me went to the aviary in the zoo, we tried (unsuccessfully) to spot them... we assumed theirs would be the better-decorated nest.

Apparently there are lesbian porcupines.

I used to be an idiot all on my own, but now a group called the Politicaly Correct are making it hard for me to keep ahead and they don't know they're moron's who are making the world worse

I dispute this idea that there's a group of people that constitute 'The Politically Correct Brigade.' The reality is a series of unrelated idiocies - but it suits certain agendas to perceive a conspiracy against sensible, decent-minded folk.

I also dispute the notion that being "politically correct" is necessarily "bad".

What I think is sad is that so many people are incapable of common courtesy that "politically correct" terminologies need be created at all.

But...it's also become thoroughly confused in its meaning...anything from avoiding racist language to cutting down on saturated fats is called 'politically correct.'
