The kind of depression you can do without

I have relapsing-remitting MS and one of the symptoms can be depression. I'm 3 weeks into a 'relapse' period, and this was one of the symptoms of the first week or so. While I'm a 'fully paid-up' member of P.U.D.D.I.N.G., there are certain kinds of 'depression' you can do without. This is one of them. Fortunately it's eased up over the past week, but it wasn't nice when it happpened.

It's the lethargic, 'what's the ing point in anything' kind that I really hate. I'm trying to fight it off right now so that I can get on with the stuff I should be doing for hootoo.

My depression/BPD nearly ruined a convention for me, I had to self-harm to drive the intrusive thoughts away... I didn't need that to happen.
The kind of depression I really truely hate though is the post break-up kind.

Yep... I hate break-ups... been through two really bad ones this year already and I've a feeling I'm headed for another one very soon. They're even worse with the hormone-induced mood swings during pregnancy...

I really hate it when you feel totally fine one day, everything's rosy. The next day, no circumstances have changed, everything's the same but you feel like crap. It doesn't make any sense.

I've been depressed a lot lately myself. Me and Oracle were talking about it in the "IF YOU'RE GRUMPY" thread, but apparently I'm not allowed to discuss it anymore according to this chap named Albatross.
I'll just sit here and twitch, then.

I've been told that 'Mercury is in retrograde' and I also know that the moon entered a new phase yesterday - would any of these serve as an excuse?

In regards to that stupid git or to my lack of cheerfulness?

In whatever matter/aspect/regard you feel like expressing, of course!

You'll get plenty from me for a while. I am pining for my ex at the moment, but I know I shouldn't talk to her (mostly cause she's a frigid moody <insert your favorite insult here>. But I can't help lovin' her...when she's not bitchy she is a great person.
Cor, I could go for a hot cuppa bout now.
