Tell me why...

I know the answer already - so they can finish early and go to the pub, the footy, or back to bed but...

WHY DOES THE POSTIE COME AT 8am ON A SATURDAY MORNING?? smiley - grr

I mean the rest of the week it can be anything fromm 11am to 2pm but on a Saturday? No nice and early.

During the week you want the post before you go to work, particularly so you dont get home to find a card saying 'we tried to deliver a packet/parcel/package today, please bring this card to ....' etc

On a Saturday you think you will enjoy a nice lay in bed, content in the knowledge you dont have to get up at any fixed time, and then the smiley - bleeping doorbell goes and its Mr Postie doing his daily delivery.
We have security entry on our flats - BUT HE ALWAYS RINGS MY BELL!
so i have to get up and let him in or risk not getting mail for 3 days (they are like that up here - hold a grudge!)

Actually nothing against posties really (except PP the enemy of PUDDING) as its some silly new policy that they dont do early morning post on weekdays - but dont do it on a saturday either smiley - headhurts

My aplogies to any postal workers here - no offence meant - but you can appreciate my irritation.

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

Only reason I can think is that your postie is a member of P.U.D.D.I.N.G. too and loves to p**s people off smiley - tongueout

You get mail on a Saturday?
We don't get a delivery on a weekend down under.
Exept the week before Christmas.

I think my postie is definatley a member of PUDDING and has read this as the last 2 days he has turned up at 9am!

We used to get an early morning post (about 7-9am) and a second delivery about 11am. Now they have justy combined the two and we get a post at an 'unspecified time' if you want an early post you have to pay extra for it. Not sure if this is just a trial introduction to this area or they have subjected the rest of the country to it yet or not.
