After persistent nagging from GreyDesk, KerrAvon, Mina and several other close acquaintances; then a lengthy set of arguments with BT; I am finally communicating on Broadband!
Of course, the only practical upshot of this is that I can be silly on hootoo at ten times the speed. And phone my Mum at the same time.

That was the one advantage of dial-up. Your annoying relatives couldn't ring you up and annoy you whilst you were having fun doing something much more productive on hootoo.

Yes. As Sod's Law would have it, all my annoying relatives have already rung during the two hours or so since I hooked up.
