Well, tomorrow I jet off to London to see Camel on their farewell tour. They've been making great music for 30 years (although I've only been listening for about 10) so it's sad to see them leave us, but by all accounts all the stops are being pulled out for this grand goodbye, including special guests and a truckload of vintage equipment to capture that classic camel sound.
The plane leaves tomorrow morning, returning Wednesday, and I'm hoping to take in Gerald Scarfe's exhibition at the National Gallery, catch up with some old friends, and see Interstella 5555 (the Daft Punk movie) while I'm down there to make the whole trip worthwhile.
Whoopee!

It got worse while I was at home being 'pampered'
the pamdering consisted of driving my parents to the aunts and watching them all get steadily pissed while I sat in the corner knitting...
I may have to designate next weekend as a do nothing but curl up on the sofa and die quietly weekend. I'm knackered.

Camel were great, although possibly not quite as good as last time I saw them. This being a big occasion they had brought back an old keyboard player from their heyday, but to be honest I think the new whippersnapper they had before was actually better. Ach well. Small gripe on a great gig.
Gerald Scarfe exhibition was a bit of a let down - the catalogue had 50 pictures in it, and the exhibition consisted of around 15 but I did get a nice signed copy of the catalogue to stare at in disgust.
