It’s compiled by researchers just like you and it's something YOU can take part in. You can write entries on all manner of subjects, and if it's something you think would look good in our Edited Guide (where all the best research goes), you can submit it to Peer Review Take a look at the <./>writing-guidelines</.> for more information on that.

You have made a great start by opening your space I hope when you get to know us a little better you'll join in the general silliness and maybe even write for The Guide - but there's no rush - and it's not compulsory

We ACEs are volunteers here to assist new researchers so if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Do you have any math tools? For example a standard signs and symbols keypad?

I was just writing an introductory entry for the Guide, title "Liability Statement:". I was in the final stretch of editing and rewriting when the computer froze up on me, crashed, and messages came back that I'd just "posted" ...an incomplete statement which still needed corrections. I tried sending a copy of the page to my email using the "send this page to a friend" feature and got an attachment requiring me to log in to view it.

I don't know whether the "Liability Statement" item posted or not, but if it did, would like to recall it if possible.

Its irritating, going hip deep in another mess of bugs just as I'm getting to some serious writing.

Hmm .... looks like you might have lost it - I can't see it anywhere on your page

This sounds like you are writing or changing your introduction page

Still can be about your introduction on your Personal Space. For what I have seen before there are no big changes.

Your computer froze then crashed then messages came back. This seems to be a little exaggerated. A frozen computer does not respond or do anything, hence frozen. A crashed computer or actally program on the computer seases to function not unlike the frozen state mentioned before. Then the same computer and even program coming back with ...an incomplete statement is something completely different.
I think you experienced a delay after submitting the entry, when the page was finally rebuild you were shown the source with redmarked some errors.

The feature 'email this to a friend' can only function on pages already stored in the database, this does not include previewed pages.

There is no sign of this title on your MA list, nor on any posting or your introduction, I am afraid it is gone into the bitbucket. Any chance of recalling it is using your browser cache (if you know where to look and how to retrieve it you would already have done so, other cases it is not possible anymore)

Next time first write your work off line using Notepad or similar editor (preferrably not word or something complex !)

Write your entry offline save it, select all, right click copy from the original and right click paste it into the textarea box of the entry. If it does not save due to errors you at least have the original.

We all have experienced such cases over time try to reduce the steps you take and try again. "

I concur on all points except one. I did not attempt to post the material. I got messages indicating a pending 'post' just prior to the computer seizing up temporarily. I don't know why, but do have some probably related problems with my internet service provider and security software provider and will be contacting them.

Oh yes "Liability Statement": Introductory material I wanted to submit to peer review in its own right for suggestions and criticisms. I'll have to rewrite it, meanwhile breathing a sigh of relief that the uncompleted and uncorrected material did not post. "Whew!"
