Okay, that's what known as 'Pearl didn't look for clues as to sex, and wrongly assumed sex from Ford Prefect character, which is probably not the reason why fords is so called'.

Can see no clue on PS as to sex apart from the fact it's pink. But I wouldn't have known that if I'd viewed it in a different skin from Brunel.
