Hello there
I'm sort of new to this whole thing, so I'm not quite sure about how to do things yet. Can I join this club?

I sort of put the lyrics to an Iron Maiden song up yesterday, couldn't really think of anything to write. Don't think the moderators liked it very much. Wonder why.. We'll see what happens though. I'll probably write a proper introduction once my writing skills are back.

Ooh yes, that's probably just due to copywrite issues, song lyrics are copywrited y'see.
Even just "Hello everyone I'm new" is a perfectly good introduction!

Yeah, I know. I'm known for my weird intros though, so I have to think of something to write. I'm sure I'll come up with a good intro during physics class tomorrow though, my imagination tends to wander at that particular time of the day.

Hey! I've been demoted!!
I thought I was Assistant Editor? Not 'Membership Secretary'? Cheeky what'sname!
Might I remind you that I have my own PA? Not that I know where Kat's got to...
Anyway, I'll add you to the list, and please contribute to the Post Book Review, which I started when Z decided that RL work was more important than h2g2! (*ahem*)!

Might I also join? I tried a little posting on Clive Barker but I don't think anyone noticed. I guess I'm kind of small.

I believe he's a horror writer, though I've never read anything of his, I haven't read Horror since I grew out of the wonders that are "Point Horror!"

Definately brilliant, in a scarey, I can't belive I read this sort of trash kind of way!

Ah, well, I was at the acceptable young teenage age for those books, so I was alright. I think they probably gave kids a good base for getting into reading. And before HP too!

Clive Barker is classed as horror, but I've never seen his books as being really in that genre. He's more sci-fi. People just put him in horror because some of his books are highly disturbing, but I would say that it's because he's so candid. He doesn't flinch to describe anything--he's not graphic, but he's *truthful*, he's honest. Perhaps some people think that if you clearly describe violent or weird things you're a horror writer. But he's my favorite author, and if I'm any judge he's ridiculously brilliant at what he does.

Makes sense to me. Would you like to review one of his books for us?
*shameless, utterly shameless Pearl!*

Shameless indeed, but I'd love to. How do I do that? And does anyone have a preference on which one? Since I've read nearly all of them.

Okay, but nutsandbolts-wise, after I write it, then what do I do with it? *waves it around with great and pointless fervor*

Simple, start a thread on the bookworms main page and post your review their, or put it on a page and post a link. Then the delectable PP will magically send it (using E mail) to the nice people at who make it available to the
