The River Don is on severe flood watch as it is feared that it may burst it's banks.

The next village from us is under water too, in fact the bridge that you have to go under to get into that village (and the way to Mr Tesco) has 5ft of water under it. We are being warned not to travel and almost all of the secondary schools in Doncaster have closed.

All this and would you believe that the sun is shining brightly?

Streets within the following villages are being evacuated because of the danger from the dam bursting and in turn flooding the River Don:

Stainforth
Fishlake
Sprotborough
Wheatly
Bently
Barnby Dun
Mexborough
Conisborough

Its all really quiet except for the sound of a helicoper every now and again, which I assume is checking on the state of the river.

Happily I have finally gotten hold of my Dad (the mobile networks are playing up) and he's ok, at work and completely oblivious to what's happening (rolleyes) which is typical.

Unfortunately for Jo and Josephine public, if a doctor, lawyer or teacher makes an incredibly stupid mistake they are covered by their contemporaries and their union. I suppose you could say the same goes for all major companies.
