Unfortunately this is not suitable for the Edited Guide. I'm assuming you haven't read the Guidelines which can be found here, A53209 .

I'm sure an Ace will be along soon to welcome you to H2.

Not suitable at the moment, but it looks like a great idea for an entry. If you move it into the Edited Guide Writing Workshop, some helpful people might help you realise its full potential!

It'll need a total re-write frankly as at present it's a combination of advertising for pubs in Newquay with some pretty harsh personal comments about having wallets and such like stolen.
Still if others think it has some potential then fair enough.

There's definitely potential here. It needs more detail, but I think EGWW is the place.

Sorry, I don't think this will ever be a suitable entry for the Guide. It seems more of a rant against some pubs and advertising for the others.

I am willing to be corrected by my peers.

I agree about the harsh comments needing to be toned down (so as not to be defamatory or ageist) but I can't see that this is advertising any more than say, this Edited Guide entry is: A292664

It does need filling out though. I hope it can be done without losing the humour.

The difference with the article A292664 highlighted by Radox is that article is a history of the establisment rather than just a blurb saying drink here, not there. It does get to look more like an advert towards the end but it was written in 2000 and more than likely would have been changed for todays guide. Possibly could do with updating anyway.

If the pubs mentioned in this current article had history and the history was written about then fair enough.

May I suggest expanding this entry by telling us a bit about each watering hole, such as the decor, clientele, and the specialities of the house. Tell us which ones serve nice pub fare, and which only have stale popcorn?
