Warning to travellers, there are many false bars where the unwary traveller may have his towel/wallet/mind stolen without further notice... For those over 25,avoid Berties, Newquay Arms, the Beach and anywhere giving out flyers in the precinct.For those who like a quiet contemplative pint, try Wales.Otherwise, Belushis will be fine if the staff can be bothered to remove the blinkers and acknowledge you may be thirsty (but have several jaegerbombs if they do,highly entertaining!), Red Lion has low ceilings but good bands, or the Vic Bars have an anything goes approach to all kinds of nonsense,but say please and smile,& add graffiti to the toilet doors only if it's erudite and Oscar Wilde standard..Check your change in most places,and if any club charges over £10 walk away very quickly. And remember, surfers look good but are for 1 night only, not for ever...( and wear rubber all over for a reason).
