Project: Corsets

(My number is 48588.)
This is a project I've been threatening for some time, but I intend it to be comprehensive so this would be ideal. It will be based on a 5000 word thesis I wrote for my art foundation course, obviously somewhat modified. Generally, it covers the history, construction, symbolism, attitudes towards and ideas concerning corsets and the wearing of them. Specifically I hope to cover their basic historical development, the influences of fashion and wealth, issues of health and social attitudes (i.e. oppression of women), and how it has been used as a sexual item. Proposed titles are listed in the index page, number A575480. I'm happy to start it more or less now, since I've got most of the information already gathered.
Thanks,
Mandragora.

This would make a really good project, we'd love to have it in the Guide. Thank you very much for contributing to the university.
I'll add you to the current projects page and send you an invitation to the Field Researchers egroup.
Thanks!

Query.
Are the individual subsections of the project to be written as Guide Entries, linked from the index page (also a Guide Entry)?

Yes. Pick one page, probably the introduction to be the 'lead' page. That will be the one we link to from the front page. T
Put each section, history, construction, symbolism, etc. onto its own page, and link them all together. All of the individual pages should be linked to from your index page; that's how we can keep track of them.
Does that make sense?

OK- when it's all written up (but only by me, no one else involved yet), what's the course of action?
