A Conversation for Faculty of Sports and Lifestyle
Project: Golf in Hershey, Pennsylvania
Jimi X Started conversation Apr 10, 2001
This project will examine the history of golfing in Hershey, Pennsylvania and take a detailed look at the five courses in town. With 72 holes covering 425-plus acres across five courses, Hershey has more golf courses per capita than just about anyplace else in the world. Providing for his chocolate factory's employees' recreation was an important part of Milton S. Hershey's vision for the community which bears his name.

I reckon this one should go under the Social Sciences faculty's Sports department.
I set a start date for 1 May because John the Gardener is currently subediting my Philanthropic Legacy of Milton S. Hershey project and when that is finished, I'll go full bore into this project.
Cheers!

Ready to start on this one now...
Actually, I've got one nearly complete and just need to write five more entries. Shouldn't take me more than a couple of hours.
Cheers!

It's a lot easier to tell my lovely wife, 'I've got to play golf this weekend - it's for h2g2.'
But keep that under your hat.

You should take care Jimi. Maybe you should write a few entries about sun protection creams whilst you're there? It might mean that you have to hang around the 19th hole for a while though...

You're telling me I should kill a few brain cells and risk damaging my liver by drinking alcohol?
You're a tough task-master, but if you insist!
I hope you're willing to explain to the authorities why I was required to play golf, get a tan and drink some beers simply to get an entry into the Edited Guide.
Have a great weekend!

Oh dear, that all sounds like really hard work. Maybe you should take a nap afterwards...
Have a nice weekend you too! I'm really looking forward to mine, not long now...
