very silly film and confirms my suspicion from the trailers that someone let an arts grad student loose on it and they discovered the 'flame effect' control and based an entire film around it.
But hey, nowt too wrong with that. After all, I'm probably one of the few people who would consider watching Spawn again.
No, my concern is that in the early stages thingyumybob has fscks uo a stunt bike landing and hits the arena wall, whereupon his mates come to his aid and the first thing they do is remove his helmet. now, I know he is supernaturally protected and all that, but still, this is the single most dangerous thing you can do if you encounter a biker who has had a smash. Removing the lid should be left to the professionals, and even then they get it wrong sometimes.
I dunno, maybe I'm being an old reactionary, tis only a film after all. But if one non-biker sees this and doesn;t get the message then that could be one more biker in a wheel chair, or worse, a grave.

From what I've heard, if someone has stopped breathing then it's best to remove the helmet and risk spinal damage than to let them die. But yes, it needs to be done properly. Unless they've got an open face...of course, then, they might not have any lips to do mouth-to-mouth to. erg.
I, too, was pretty disappointed in Ghost rider. The casting (apart from the mighty Sam Elliot) was terrible, the plot non-existent, the bad-guys lame and easily defeated, and the ending uninspiring. On the plus side I liked the way the destruction caused by the bike wasn't just ignored, definitely found that amusing. After Sin City, it's hard to understand why comic book translations to the cinema aren't done much, much better. Bah. And it was made in Australia, to add embarrassment to the mix.
Beer...mmmmm.....looking forward to a Newcastle Brown Ale in Newcastle...ah well, for now I'll have to settle for another glass of shiraz and a boags. Saturday night
woohoo
