Yes, just back from the hospital. Although she could see that there was something was there, she reckons it was a cyst thing that just filled up with fluid or something. Feeling a lot better today but that's cos she reckons the fluid has gone away again.
And how are you? I'm conscious of not trying to take your journal over

Well apparently us girls get cysts all the time when we ovulate so it's not that big a deal. Until you fall over with the pain of it, of course! I see the gynae doctor in March so I'm going to tell her all about my constantly being in pain and having to take time off work and getting into trouble for it. I'm really sick of it all (no pun intended) - I've never been in such ill health in my life

Strangely I didnt have a great deal of pain with
mine..only in my hips and lower back. It was discoverd by accdent when I was having a bladder
scan as apart of a pelvic floor test n it was the size of a grapefruit! 18 months later when they had it out it was about 10lbs! most cysts there come n go on their own but get them to keep an eyeon it..

Well it's happened before but it wasn't as painful. I got a jag in the bum for my troubles and sent home with diclofenac the last time. I got the drugs again yesterday but I'm kinda worried it's happened again to be honest. My sister had a 10lb cyst as well when she was 12 and had to have her ovary taken out

I lost my ovary too , on of the reasons i say get them to keep a watch onit, if its a troublesome one n they catch it small enough maybe you'll get to stay intact

If they can be bothered to care enough, but I'll just have to keep on nagging!

O God, don't. Cysts - tell me about them! B'Elana, I thought a cyst by definition had water in it. Then there are abcesses (contain pus?) and .. um, ah yes haemorrhoids (no, not them, what are they called? ... ) that contain blood.
I had one where my uterus used to be - as big as a tennis ball, wouldn't go away, didn't vary according to cycle or anything. They nearly killed me trying to find out what it was. Don't ask. If we didn't have scans, we wouldn't know these things were there and then we'd be left in peace and a lot of unnecessary operations could probably be avoided.

I think when theyre full of blood theyre called chocolate cysts some cysts can be leftn dont do any harm, mine couldedone real damage if it had burst n i was glad to see the back of it..
