I'm swinging by as one of the <./>aces</.> here. We voluntarily greet newbies such as yourself(since we were newbies ourselves once). But we also give you some help getting settled. So I'll be leaving you useful information later, just thought I'd say'hello' for now!*waves*smiley - smiley

smiley - biggrinThanks calliope(lv...would that be for Las Vegas?) Great to get such a prompt response! I'm in the process of leaving those exciting gifts at the moment, but bear with me - I don't type 60 words a minute, ok. smiley - winkeye

To familiarize yourself with our online community, take your time reviewing Feisor's list of Hints and Links at A719840. And feel free to examine the various features in the process, there's alot to both see and do! Just a few of the obvious items that Feisor mentions are our newspaper <./>thepost</.>, the assortment of <./>smileys</.> and the word games in the <./>GamesRoom</.>.

However further down the list you'll find The h2g2 Post's Links Page. That'll give you access to numerous other points of interest, one example being the Researchers' smiley - earthMap at A5076614. But you'll also discover the Regional Researchers' Groups at A660313 and-among many other things-the Personal Space Workshop at A1123354.

Don't hesitate to leave me a message if you have any questions. Simply use the 'Reply' button and I'll try to get back to you asap, ok.smiley - cheers(And thanks again for the smiley - choc, I'd be quite willing to share if you're interested.)

Thanks for all the info! So much to see and do, I hardly know where to start...

Can you suggest the best way to get started? I suppose I might start be editing my space, but what to say?

Unfortunately, lv is not for las vegas; I could use some of that hot desert fun right now! No, I am a Canuck, and lv are my initials of my name.

Take care,
Calliopelv

Ah ok, always good to see another Canadian joining us! You might want to join the Canadian Researchers' Club listed in the Regional Researchers' Groups. And you're more than welcome to drop into F19585?thread=252800&latest=1 ...that's our Canadian 'lounge' for lack of a better word. If you watch Rick Mercer you'll recognize the name.

Well click on my(or anyone's)nickname to look at what I/they've done with their page.

Oh & a Canadian now living in Spain has a photo album(on fotki), you'll find all the info at A20917604 (uh no I'm not in there, yet).

Oh & when I said 'another' Canadian...I'm in Edmonton myself, as is another researcher(abhaga, who's accepting registrants to the Cdn. Researchers' Club I believe).
