Well, yes, I've had a Twitter account for a few years now. I find it useful in a number of different ways - anytime I blog about parkrunning or recipes, a link is tweeted automatically, and it's also good for up to the minute local info on traffic and weather.

The use of social media by workplaces has been increasing, and our office has just recently decided that they need a Twitter account too. The downside is that I'll really have to watch what I say, now. But the upside is we can access it (and Youtube and Flickr) from the office computer!

Our crew have had an account for a while, but I'm hopeful they don't know who I am. smiley - zensmiley - laugh

I am followed by someone who I suspect works for us because of one or two remarks, but we've tacitly observed a "don't ask, don't tell" thing. smiley - laugh

Gnomon's journal reminded me of the situation in the North re Arts funding, which has been savagely cut. One of the first things I was able to view on the work Twitter feed was footage of a flash mob of St Georges Market by the Ulster Orchestra, who need half a million to survive. The flash mob is led by my ex-husband on the shaker-egg things, if you get a chance to view it.
