It's Saturday morning, which for the past 18 months has meant one thing to me -Parkrun!
I've done over 60 of these free weekly timed 5km runs now, and I like visiting them in other venues when I'm on my travels. I did one in London last week, and was delighted to find that there's one in Perth-right next to the bells sports centre where the Scottish dancing events are taking place.
Perth Parkrun is getting ready to celebrate its first birthday-it wasn't yet in existence when I was here for last year's AGM.
Runners are always chasing their Personal Best time, or PB. My pb for a Parkrun is 25:30, but I wasn't expecting anything like that this morning given that the river Tay was swollen after the recent rains, and much of the route was on slippery muddy grass. But I came in at 29.45, which was faster than last week, so I'll take that.

It would take an hour for me to walk that far, so your time seems excellent to me.
