6.11.11 Frost

Beatrice

Minerva smiley - dog (mini the minx...) had been a bit unsettled while I was away for the past 2 days - apparently when put into her crate at 11 at night, she then barked for over an hour, which was not her normal behaviour. Yesterday I wore an old hoodie (my red Betty Boop one that I got in Florida), and put that in the crate with her in the hope that the familiar smell would calm her. And it seemed to work - not a peep out of her till 6.15 this morning!

When I let the dogs out into the garden there was a sparkle on the grass, and the mint leaves in my herb container were frozen solid. I think that's the first frosty morning this year. smiley - brr

Rev Nick - dead man walking (mostly)

Poor little gurly missed her Momma ...

And we've had a good frost nearly every morning for a week. At the moment, we are measuring -4C here

You can call me TC

The grass has been frosty most mornings this week here, too, but we've been having consistently sunny days, despite the weather forecast.

We underestimate the power of smell - especially with young children, but, of course, with animals, too.

Having said that, I hope that really was the reason she was upset and it wasn't due to something else that was bothering her.
