What a day!

Had a rather lovely Saturday. I do love that feeling of being able to stay in bed, instead of having to be up and atom at 6.30...
So enjoyable cuppa tea in bed, followed by a jog, relaxed brekkie, bit of tidying, before going into Belfast to meet up with my wayward son, who I haven't seen in weeks.
He looked thin, and in need of a haircut. So I bought him a BLT and dragged him to a barbers. Shopping in Lush, I chose a skin care soap for him as my freebie. Reminded how frustrated and angry he makes me feel...
Went for some retail therapy in Monsoon's 70% off sale. Gorgeous soft and cuddly brown cardi with fancy popper neckline and double sleeves, plus an amazing Japanese inspired black and white linen cross-over jacket.
Back to Killyleagh, to our favourite restaurant, where we've been trying to eat our way throught the menu, but they will keep having these irresistible specials! I started with the smoked goose breast salad (smoked by the bloke across the road, in his back yard), while Dai's favourite was the soup of the day - broccoli and blue cheese. For mains, he went for lobster thermidor, while I tried a fish I'd never had before - brill. Served with vermouth sauce and crushed baby potatoes. Yum!
Then upstairs to catch the end of the live music session, with lots of audience participation and general jollity.
Ah me.
What a day!

Sounds good to me certainly much better than hitting Conswater with my sister who talks to radiators.
Glad you had a good time.
