I am a long-standing lone campaigner, and I have put up with frustration for too long. I wish to join the larger campaign.

Any specific suggestions yet? To encourage the growth you only get in with an example of stupidity
Although maybe a sort of ascotiate memeber till then? (OK my spelling sucks)

That spelling might be my contribution... but I think I'll go for Jo Moore. She sent the e-mail once, and was unlucky enough for it to be intercepted. But then, in the center of the public eye, she goes and does it _again_ for an event which, once one ignores the moral implications, is nowhere near as appropriate for the purpose.
That good enough?

mmmm whilst I've just added those taking part and watching Tribute WWF - I think an indiviual is more suited for the room 101 entry - don't know if it is still going, but it is here A519482 for refernce.
What do others think?

Hey there! Thanks for being so ambitious. Wasn't sure where to sign up, but here is my first contribution(after scanning the list to check for an identical one...) : Psychic Hotlines. More to come when I'm not so tired... (I don't even feel like emoticons...)

If we're going along those lines, then I'll contribute Microsoft Tarot. I've actually got that at home, on a CD with a whole load of other rubbish.

C Hawke Posted Feb 22, 2002
PC based Tarot and Pyscic hotlines are both worthy - i can see I am going to have to sub divide the entry into Stupid Labels, Stupid Actions, Stupid products.
I'll add your entries and names to the list as soon as I get home from work.
Cheers

Not to sure about Atomic kitten, we are bordering on taste here.
Will hopefully find time to full re-jig entry later today.

My point is that to call Atomic Kitten 'newcomers' is stretching the definition a bit. I'm sure they were around in 2000 and possibly before.

I think the fact that the "broke" in the last year counts, as when do you start to count a singers/groups career has started.
Odder is was the fact that Craig david had the same CD nominated - still didn't win 2nd time round.

The National Statistics website has a disclaimer which says that they won't promise that any of the statistics on it are accurate. (http://www.statistics.gov.uk/TC.asp)
What is the point in them having a website then??? They could have made the whole lot up!

The organisation I work for (3 weeks 1 day left ) send out loads of data and we always send out a disclaimer which in legal speak says, "we don't care if you use this data for whatever you want but don't come crying to us if its crap as in all likeyhood it is - sorry dudes"
But in legal it takes a side of A4.

Grabbed a dust mask at work the other day. The tag on it read:"This mask will not protect your lungs." WTF???

I have two possible plans for eliminating stupidity once (if?) I conquer the world. One is to simply arm officially approved and confirmed intelligent individuals, make stupidity a capital crime, and permit citizens' arrests (and executions) on the basis of stupidity. Since that plan is probably unnecessarily violent, and far too vulnerable to failure, I've come up with another (although it is not originally mine): force companies to eliminate all labels classified as "stupid" and let natural selection do the rest.
In the meantime, I'd like to join ICARUS. I mostly encounter generic, long-term stupidity, but no specific incidents of the sort that can be summarized and posted online easily. Instead, I offer a URL: http://rinkworks.com/said
This site is one of the better collections of anecdotes of stupidity I've encountered.
Also, visit http://www.rageboy.com/Stupidity.html for the Basic Laws of Stupidity.
By the way, I don't feel that research into why people feel happy is necessarily stupid so long as it is pharmacologically or psychologically relevant. If we find a way to make all the stupid people happy, we can isolate them on a remote island, (since they're stupid, it shouldn't be particularly hard to convince them to move there) claim that since the stupid people are still happy their conditions must therefore be humane (although anyone who protests is probably stupid enough to be shipped there anyway), and live happily ever after.
