I thought i'd start another journal entry for this, otherwise it might get confusing on the other thread (the "a job interview" thread).


Here's a quick summary :

I've got an interview on Monday afternoon for a job at a tourist information place. It would be for a few months, probably till September.

I've got another interview on Tuesday afternoon, for an admin job at an office that deals with stuff like unemployment benefits etc. That would be till end of October.

So, the first one would probably be more fun, much less dull and boring, but shorter...

I saw a deer cross the road in front of my car this afternonn, as i was going to my interview. Doesn't it mean good luck in some civilisation or other? (especially as i didn't hit it...)

I think it went quite well, and they should let us know the answer tonight or tomorrow morning.
I'll keep you posted.

Yesterday's people called at lunchtime, to say they've decided to take someone who has already had experience in tourist information centres.
You can put the spear down, Prof.

And I think I might have screwed up today's interview. They'll make their choice and give an answer some time next week.

I rememeber when my husband had finished his apprenticeship and was looking for a job. The standard reply was: we're looking for somebody with experience. Understandable as that is, there is no way to get experience if you don't get a job because you don't have experience. It's a vicious circle.
