Munchkin

After your admission of why you are travelling to the US, I will be able to scoff at all claims of fannish sadness for ever now, even when trying to impersonate Arthur Conan Doyle.
Oh, and The Eyre Affair is great, and includes the John Milton Convention and Fundamentalist Baconists who go door to door rubbishing Shakespeare. Makes me feel ConVivial might have a chance.

You know, I do want to go to New York because a)I've never been and b)It's New Freakin' York, centre of the Western world.

The toys are a happy side-attraction.

I suppose I'm mainly to blame for the general perception of myself as some sort of Transformers-obsessed nutter. The truth of the matter is that when people state some characteristic of mine as being defining, be it Transformers, sarcasm or whatever, I can't resist the temptation to push the appearance of that aspect up to ridiculous proportions, just to see if anybody'll work out that I'm taking the mickey out of their pigeon-holing.

But they never do, so robots and sarcasm it is.

Ah well, as I once stated at St Andrews: ' It is easier to be perceived as a cartoon character than a real person.'

But I'm not sure if it's better.

What would your thoughts be, speaking as a cultified persona?

Munchkin

Playing to someones stereotype of yourself is a real time saver. No need to think about a response to a question or occurence, just remember that I am Munchkin, grin like a loon and perhaps shout "To the pub!" and everyone is happy. It must be so difficult for those who actually have to define themselves.
