A Moral Tale

So, I decided to try an online casino. What's the worst that could happen?

After half an hour I'd lost a fair amount (which in this case means 'Anyone with a sense of the value of money would be running a hose from their exhaust into the car').

Undeterred by the cold, hard laws of probability, I went back on last night and put some money on a single roulette number. Which promptly came up at 40-1, recouping the majority of my losses.

Now, if I'd come out ahead I'd think that gambling was great, and be destitute within the month. If I'd made my money back, I'd think that gambling was harmless and it would take at least three months for me to go bankrupt.

However, as I'm still a minor wodge down, I can take that as a slap on the wrists and pack it in.

So, what's the moral? Probably 'Always bet on 23'. God bless the Illuminati.

Odd Mood (Is practically Doom Dodo backwards)

The problem with having all your cultural input filtered through the TV is that it tastes of electrons.

Like when you suck the air out of the remote control through the minuscule gap between the casing and the LED.

Ah well, back to Dividend Reinvesment letters.

Cunning Geopolitical Insight

Thinking about it, it's obvious why Martin Sheen does't want the US to attack Saddam: they're mates. They were in Hot Shots: Part Deux together. I bet they go on fishing trips and everything.

What do the following have in common: Groucho Marx, Oswald Mosley, Pa Broon and Angus Deayton?

And which is the odd one out?
